30 Days of Promises - #26

"GOD WILL KEEP YOUR FEET FIRM"

Psalm 37:23-24 says the following:

"The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand." (Psalm 37:23-24 NIV)

As I read this, I was reminded of my children and when they were learning to walk. When kids are learning to walk, it's normal for them to fall a lot. But sometimes they would walk and I would hold their hands, and they would practice while using me to guide them. When they did that, they would stumble and trip at times, but they wouldn't fall. Instead, they would be able to correct themselves and keep going much more quickly and easily.

It's the same with our Father. He is always inviting us to walk with Him, holding His hand and letting Him guide us through life. Like a little toddler, we will trip and stumble, but our loving Father is way stronger than us, and will not let us fall. The key? Staying connected to Him.

I believe this promise is all the more encouraging in the days we are living in. Keep holding onto His hand - He promises He will not let you fall!
