30 Days of Promises - #17

"GOD GIVES US POWER"

I love this verse in Romans 8...

"The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you." (Romans 8:11 NLT)

Stop for a moment and really meditate on that truth. The very same power that rose Jesus Christ from the dead lives inside of us. And that same power gives us life! The original word can be translated 'quicken', which also means 'to revitalise and give life'.

I share this because I believe many are feeling weary in this season for many different reasons. But in the same way the Spirit breathed into the nostrils of Adam in the Garden of Eden and he received life and vitality, He is wanting to do the same to you and I.

There are many reasons to feel weary at the moment - both personally in the circumstances of many, and also globally with the state of the world, and even the state of the church in many ways. If that is you, I invite you to take whatever time you can, sit with the Father and invite that life that lives inside of you to minister to, refresh, revive and revitalise you!
